Mon. Oct. 7

• Author Marty Chan visiting in the Library
  • 1:00 Gr. 1-4; 2:00 Gr. 5-9
• Send home permission forms to Gr. 1-5 for a ride home with Sparky
• SU Meeting at noon! (12:30-1)
• Please check that forms went home for School pictures (Oct. 15)
• We are hosting BCHS Volleyball Teams
  • Jr. Boys 3:15, 
  • Jr. Girls 4:00 
  • Sr. Girls 4:45

Tues. Oct. 8 – (a bit of a busy day said Captain Obvious)

• K-9 assembly Tuesday this week instead of Thursday
  • • Virtue Awards (Respect) and Green & Gold draws (K-9)

• 10:30 Candidate’s Forum in Gym Gr. 5-9
  • Please be aware Conservative representation Mr. Arnold Viersen was invited, but unable to attend because of previous commitments
• 12:30 – Grade 5&6 Soccer teams load bus to Swan Hills
  • Team plays 1:30 – 2:30; returns approx. 3:45

• Goal Setting Meetings 4:15 -7 pm
• 7:00 pm Superintendent David Garbutt meeting with parents (Room 5)
  • regarding enrollment, educational programming, and transportation

Wed. Oct. 9

• Jr. High Cross Country away at Zones in Athabasca
  • Depart at 8:15, return in time for busses at end of day
• 9:30 – 10:30 Grade 1&2 Tour Fire Hall
• Grade 3/4 classroom visit (question period) from 11:00 – 12:00 
• Pizza Lunch for Entire School 12:00 -12:30
• Outdoor/Gym Activities with firefighters 12:30 ) 1:00
• Firefighters join Jr. High PE class 2:00 – 2:55
• Sparky will come to classroom  in the afternoon at end of day to announce the 2 winners 

Thurs. Oct. 10

• Morning Assembly very short, just K-6 
• We are hosting Elementary Soccer Tournament (and our Jr. High are refereeing)
  • Games start at 8:50, 40 minute time slots until 2: 50
  • Teams coming from Swan Hills, Neerlandia, and Barrhead (2 teams)
  • Fort teams play at 8:50, 10:50, 12:10 and 2:10
• Firehall tour for Kindergarten/Morning Preschool from 10:45 – 11:45
• Firehall tour for Afternoon Preschool from 12:45-1:45
• Justine’s Teacher Induction Dinner at Westlock Inn 5:30

Fri. Oct. 11- Bear Day

Mon. Oct. 14 – Happy Thanksgiving!

Fri. Oct. 18 –  Volleyball trip to U of A Game depart 5:30pm

Oct. 21-24 – Drive Away Hunger Campaign  – Bear House Competition Weigh-in Thurs. at 8:30 am

Oct. 21 – Federal Election; Sr. Girls Volleyball Practice Afterschool 4:15 – 5:30

Oct. 23 – Jr. & Sr. Volleyball Teams away at Neerlandia (depart at 2:45)

Fri. Oct. 25 – PD Day – No Students
