Fort Assiniboine School Week at a Glance Feb 15 – 19, 2021
Skating – thanks to Penny Price for having the foresight to keep the ice in! (It is natural ice, the ice plant has been shut off) Parents can come and help tie skates and join us on the ice. They must wear masks and we must spread out in the dressing rooms. Classes will be split into four groups for the four dressing rooms. Parnets please use the Arena entrance (not the curling rink). Students need a CSA approved hockey helmet (no bike helmets). If you have any spare helmets to donate or lend, please contact the school.
Parent Society Update
- Thank you to our parent society for recently funding $1500 in CTF soldering kits and equipment, $600+ for online presentations (Telus World of Science, Ukrainian Village) and $160 in music supplies (boom whackers)
- Tara McQueen will be coming in this week to make a “Wish Board” on the Library Bulletin Board
- Parent Society is applying for grants for an “Outdoor Classroom” project
School Roof – there will be workers on the roof all week (and maybe into next week) completing the trim work from last fall.
