Information/Reflections from Last Week

  • School Council Meeting – official minutes will be posted on our website. We looked at our school survey results (students and parents) and discussed what we noticed, celebrations, and questions. Parents and Trustee Melissa Hanna commented that our results for safe and caring school were commendable (parents and students), our gr. 4-9 students were 100% satisfied regarding receiving feedback from their classroom teacher (people who indicated that they didn’t access PowerSchool commented that they don’t need to because teachers are providing enough feedback without it).
  • Jr. High Track & Field meet – it was near perfect weather for a track meet. BCHS students and staff and our fellow PHSD PE teachers did a fantastic job organizing the meet and our students demonstrated good effort and sportsmanship. As a school, we earned a few ribbons: Madison Lee – first in long jump, forth in relay; Layla Petryshen 1st in 3000m, 3rd in 1500m and 4th inrelay; Natalie Dekker 4th in long jump and relay; Anneliese Schuurman 4th in relay, and Shelby Rondeau 5th in discus. Thanks Coach Wyman!
  • Inside Education and County of Woodlands Wetlands Day, FINS fish release – THANK YOU Mrs. Kiselyk for organizing this awesome day of outdoor learning! Thank you Mrs. Nelson and William for helping take care of the fish all year. Thank you County of Woodlands for providing a hot dog lunch (one student said it was his favorite part of the day ). And thank you to all the parents that came along to volunteer!!
  • Inside Education also did a solar lantern project in the afternoon with our gr. 6-9 students.
